One of the oldest and tallest lighthouses in America is just up the road (3.9 miles from Costanoa). Right now, there is construction going on, so up close access is limited but it's still worth a visit. And there's a beach just below the lighthouse (Pigeon Point Beach).

Big Basin Redwoods State Park is California's oldest state park (37 miles from Costanoa). The fires have damaged it in the recent past, but there are still old giants standing tall. Some of the redwoods in this park are up to 1800 years old!

Ano Neuvo State Beach is 4 miles from Costanoa.
Pescadero Point Beach is 8.2 miles north of Costanoa.
San Gregorio State Beach is 14 miles north of Costanoa (note: this is a clothing optional beach).
A half hour south of Costanoa is Santa Cruz and the famous Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk--with an amusement park, restaurants, music and more!
